WEEK 10

          In these last weeks we learned about how to do a lesson plan. First, we learned about Lesson plan’s components in which we find General information, Lesson objectives, Materials, technology resources and web addresses, Alternative activity, Adaptations for Special Learners, Instructional Procedures, Assessment and Homework. Second, the teacher said that the Lesson objectives must be written with ABCD Method. Whit this instructions we improve our lesson plans in order to obtain good grades in the final result.

          Also, the PPT that we have to present should be interactive. We have to follow all the instruction in order to present and develop good classes for our Micro-Project.

          Finally, we must be prepared for our exposition and in this way we could obtain good grades. Also I can mention that all things that I am learning will help me in the future to in my professional life.  

WEEK 9

          In this week we reviewed about lesson plans. Also, we have to improve our PPP because we do not follow the steps to do good presentations.

          First, we learned more about lesson plan in which we had a clear explanation about how to do a good lesson plan. For example, we have to write the objectives in a clearly way. Also we have to write all the activities that we going to apply in the class in a detailed form. In the lesson plan we have to include the students’ assessment with which we as a teachers helps students reinforce what they learned. Finally, we have included the homework.

          In the class, we had to do our lesson plan because this work could be our  

Mid-term exam. We have to explain our class using interactive Power Point Presentations. To do this we had before a clear explanation by our teacher.

          All the information that I received in this Internet and Multimedia class is very important because I as a future teacher will have to put in practice all that I learned and in this way I can give an interesting class.

WEEK 8

          In this week we continued to learn about the four skills that the English has. There are receptive (listening and reading) and productive skills (speaking and writing).  To teach each of these skills we have to follow a process.

          During this time, we had PPP about this topic in which my partners explain about the process of each of one. How I mention before each skill has a process. In my case I had to do the presentation about the Speaking skill. Speaking is an important skill that helps us to express our ideas, opinions, so on in an orally way. For teach it we can follow the following steps. First, we must have a Pre-speaking section. It helps students focus their attention on the topic and activate students’ prior knowledge of the language. The second stage is Speaking in which learners develop the skill of understanding and eliciting messages from spoken language. And the last one is Post-speaking. It helps learner to develop their speaking, because they have to talk about the topic that is presented. 

          Furthermore, we learned about lesson Plan. It is a document in which teacher explain all the steps and activities that they will follow in the class. Although, it explains about what are the teachers’ expects in the lesson and how they can achieve them. This information is very important because we as a future teacher need to know this important topic because in this way we can manage a class in an easy way.

WEEK 7

          In this class we learned about productive and receptive skills. Well in this class, learned about one of the two receptive skills.  In this case, the teacher presented about listening skill and how to teach it. Also, we learned how to do good Power Point Presentations.

          In the presentation I could learn that we have to follow some steps in order to improve the listening skill. The first step is Pre-listening. It helps students focus their attention on the topic and activate students’ prior knowledge of the language. The second stage is Listening. It helps learners develop the skill of understanding and eliciting messages from spoken language. And the last one is Post-listening. It helps to check if students have understood the listening exercise. All this stages are important to obtain good results in this important skill.

          On the other hand, we learned to do good PPP. For this we received some advice by our teacher. For example, we must write only key words. Also, we do not have to put many effect and pictures because it does not look professional. Finally, the pictures must be related with the topic.

WEEK 6

          This week was interesting because I had the opportunity to be present in a seminar. It called “Effective use of technology in the EFL classroom”. In this seminar I learned really important information about the different resources that we can find in the Internet which help us in our development as students and as future teachers.

         

          Nowadays, the Internet is the main tool which is used for all people around the world. On line we can find a lot of useful web pages that have any kind of information. For us, we can find many interesting pages with which we can learn more about the language and especially we can develop our four skills. Also, we can obtain pages in which we can communicate with people around the word. In this way we can improve our English in an effective way. Although, there are some pages that permit us to get more knowledge about strategies to teach English as a foreign language. With these pages we can share many points of view with teacher and receive for advices that help us as future teachers.  For all these reason technology is today a universal tool that is necessary for the correct development of the society. Finally, I can mention that technology has created an important place on Education because use it; the education will continue developing of a better way.

WEEK 5

          In this week I could learn many things about web pages. In this case I learned about Diigo and The British Council Teaching. These web pages are important and useful because with their help I could improve my English.

          First, we learned to create discussion forums in which we can share information, ideas and opinions between classmates about different interesting topics. I created a forum and it is about the importance of reading in the learning process. The main purpose of this forum is to know my partners opinions ab out this interesting topic.

          Furthermore, that I mention before, we could know about The British Council. This web page offers information and activities to improve teachers’ classes.           Today, we have the opportunity to have a very useful tool that is the Internet. Here we can find web pages that can help us to get more information or to know more about the developments that the science has. Also, with this important tool we can communicate with people around the world and in this way we can learn about new cultures, customs or traditions or teach about ours.
