WEEK 18
WEEK 17
During the last week we
analyzed the different Web 2.0 tools that teachers can use to plan their
lesson. We have to create a lesson plan using this tools in which we had to invite
all our classmates. Our have to participate in every Learning Virtual
Environment.
In my case I had to plan
a lesson in the K-12 LESSON PLANS site. It is a web 2.0 tool that enables
teachers to organize their lesson in an easy and adequate way.
Finally, I can mention
that this kind of activities helps us to obtain more knowledge in the use of
technology to prepare our classes. Also, I think that using these tools we can
help our students’ learning process.
WEEK 16
During this week we had our
presentations about Web 2.0 tools in which we learned about the use of them in
the EFL classroom. We learned about the following tools:
Twitter is a popular social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send
and read other users’ updates known as “tweets".
Google Maps offer street maps, a route planner for traveling by

WEEK 15
Last week we had some problems with the Internet for
this reason we could not present our expositions about the Web 2.0 tools.
However, we used this time to talk about teachers’ life. Especially we
discussed about how to teach in Primary School, High School and University. We
participated in this discussion sharing some ideas to support how to teach in
each stage. But the most important think that I learned was that we have to
take into account when we teach we have to understand students. We have to
understand that they are humans and they also have different situations that
can affect their learning. All these things we learned during this week.
WEEK 14
During this week we analyzed the different
tools that Web 2.0 has. In order to know more about these tools, we had to
prepare a presentation about each tool and how we can use it in the EFL
classroom.
I had to prepare my presentation
about Twiter. Twitter is an online social networking service and microblogging service that
enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters, known as "tweets". With this tool we can
apply many activities in EFL classroom. For example:
·
Name of
activity: Play word games.
·
Objective
of the Activity: Having students of the Seventh grade of basic education of
“Shekiná School” a previous knowledge about professions. At the end of the
lesson they will be able to contribute
synonyms or antonyms or give a definition for any vocabulary or spelling words
as another way of getting them more involved in their language lessons.
·
Level:
Students have a beginning level of English
·
Procedure.
T will Post a daily
challenge asking kids to unscramble anagrams
Ss will write synonyms or antonyms or give a definition for the vocabulary
Finally, in my opinion to know this information is
very useful in order to teach in a different way.
WEEK 13
During this week I continued to learn about Prezi. According to Wikipedia
Prezi is a cloud-based
presentation software and storytelling
tool for exploring and sharing ideas on a virtual canvas.
In this week we also learned about
how to use prezi in an EFL classroom because it offers a different innovative way to
present a class and in this way we can facilitate the students’ learning
process. Furthermore, we created an account in order to apply our knowledge
about this important tool because we had to make a presentation using Prezi.
Finally, I can mention
that is information was really useful in order to know new ways in which we can
present our classes in an easy and funny way.
